⊰ ✼ ⊱; The little heart fluttering in her chest, screamed out in terror.
She had witnessed the other third years go ahead of her, clustered
into a line. They jumped on each other’s backs, wanting to see what
the boggart would chance into next. Lily Evans was suddenly terrified
at what hers would be. A scream brought her attention back the open
wardrobe as the boggart transformed into a tornado. It wound around
the room until finally the girl cried out the spell and it was reduced to a
spinning top.
Suddenly, it was her turn. She had always used her magic
in private or with many around her attempting the same spell.
But this was it, her time to shine. To prove that her muggle
blood was not a hinderance, not a handicap.
She stood in front of it as it whirled, twisting and moving. Sizing her up,

the chest and she stumbled backwards. It was so familiar and
terrifying that tears sprang from her eyes.
❝ Tuney? ❞
Her sister’s voice had frightened her and she almost forgot the
words to he spell. Lily sucked in her lip, raising her wand. Her fingers
shook uncontrollably, easily seen by those behind her. A bright yellow
ball appeared in her mind, laughter bubbling up in her throat, anything
to stop the screaming cloud. It screamed in pain, in terror, in anger.
The voice almost over took her but she kept imagining the laughing ball
of sunshine.
❝ Riddikulus. ❞
